Bright colors are used in children's rooms, stricter ones - in the living room or in the kitchen. Most importantly, they are used even in the bathroom, covered with colorless varnish on top.

Among other things, this type of wallpaper is distinguished by the fact that it is made exclusively from environmentally friendly components. Liquid wallpaper contains glue, cotton fibers, safe dyes and cellulose. All these components are dry packed in bags. To get a ready-to-use mixture, it is enough to mix the contents of the bag with water in the specified proportion. Liquid wallpaper should not be applied immediately, but only after the mixture is infused and swells well. Usually, at least eight hours should elapse after mixing.

A feature of liquid wallpaper is that over time, a soiled piece of wallpaper can be easily replaced. How? It is enough to wet the place where severe dirt or abrasion has formed, remove this piece of wallpaper with a spatula. Then apply a new layer of wallpaper, which significantly reduces renovation costs.

Another advantage of liquid wallpaper is its ability to "breathe" due to its porous structure. In addition, they are antistatic. What does it mean? They are able to repel dust, so liquid wallpaper stays clean for a long time. It is enough to vacuum them once a few months to keep the walls and ceiling clean.

How to glue liquid wallpaper?

Is it easy to self-apply liquid wallpaper? It's very easy! Even a beginner can handle this. Having prepared the mixture, it is necessary to clean the surface of the walls and ceiling from various dirt, chalk and paint residues. Then the surface is putty and treated with a primer. It is very important to use a white or colorless primer.

Liquid wallpaper is usually applied to walls or ceilings using a conventional trowel. It is very important not to apply the mixture in a thick layer. The most suitable layer thickness is 1 or 2 millimeters. Liquid wallpaper is applied from the corners of the room to the center. Do not worry about small irregularities on the wall, because with the help of liquid wallpaper they will become invisible. Liquid wallpaper dries long enough. This can take up to three days. To speed up the drying process, it is advisable to ventilate the room. This is another advantage of this type of wallpaper - it is not afraid of a draft, unlike ordinary wallpaper. As it dries, liquid wallpaper may have a different shade, but this should not be a cause for concern. Once the walls are completely dry, the color of the walls will become even and solid.
