I bring to your attention a very simple and, most importantly, a quick recipe for making jam for the winter from black currant berries without a cooking procedure - five minutes.

Recipe: Blackcurrant Jam
Recipe: Blackcurrant Jam

Why was the recipe for making jam called "five minutes"? Because you need to cook for 5 minutes, but not in my case. Everything is even simpler here, the fact is that nothing will be needed to cook in my five-minute, and this not only simplifies the process of making black currant jam, but also allows you to save some of the nutrients of this berry. After all, when cooking, all the benefits evaporate and only black sugar syrup remains, and we need at least some benefit from jam in winter, right ?!

Making blackcurrant jam:

1. Sort out the berries from debris (twigs and leaves), wash and leave in a colander for 5-7 minutes to drain the water.

2. Then in portions immediately grind with sugar in a blender. It is in a blender and immediately with sugar, it is not only very quick and easy, but also this method allows you to perfectly dissolve the sugar in the berries. Pour everything from a blender into a basin and stir again with a spoon.

If there is no such accessory in the kitchen, then you have to pass everything through a meat grinder, add sugar and stir for 5 minutes, then let the jam stand for an hour and stir again, and so on until the sugar is completely dissolved, it should not be felt when stirring with a spoon, otherwise everything will be sugared. Naturally, this method cannot be called a five-minute …

3. Close the resulting blackcurrant jam in pre-sterilized jars. Store in a cool place - basement, balcony, refrigerator. You can take ordinary cans with screw caps, there is no need to roll up.

I put 900 g of sugar on one kilogram of berries, I think that's enough. To fully close four half-liter jars, you need to take a slightly larger portion: 1, 1 kg of berries per 1 kg of sugar.

And why are such useful berries to cook? Everything is very simple, fast and tasty. The only drawback of this jam is that it is liquid, although it does not really matter to me, I have vitamins in the first place.
