Every woman may have a desire to change - to become different, to be a little better than yesterday, and, perhaps, to completely change her life. Change begins with your appearance. It is clear that regular dyeing with chemical agents has a detrimental effect on the condition of the hair and on their health in general. For example, during pregnancy, I completely abandoned such experiments with my appearance, using only rinsing with chamomile to give my hair a golden hue. After all, such natural dyes are absolutely harmless, they only give different shades, shine and silkiness. The only drawback that should be noted is that the dyes are washed off after a few weeks. Therefore, to preserve color, hair dyeing with folk remedies is performed regularly.

Hair coloring with henna and basma

Basma is a greenish-gray color of indigo leaves in a crushed state (Indigofera is a plant of the legume family, from India, grown to obtain a blue dye).

Henna, on the other hand, looks like dried leaves of yellowish-green alkanes or reddish-orange lavsonia, also crushed.

Both dyes contain tannins, thanks to which they are able to nourish the scalp, strengthen the roots, promote growth and give the hair shine and strength.

But not all hair types can be dyed with henna. So, it is recommended to use it if a woman has naturally dark blond or chestnut strands. But discolored after using henna will become carrot-red, golden-blond will turn into bright red, henna is not suitable for brunettes at all - the curls will remain black. If they were previously subject to perm, then the time of exposure to henna should be shortened, since the dye on curled hair will "set" faster. It is advisable to dilute henna not with plain water, but with fermented baked milk or kefir in order to evenly paint over the strands. When a strong tea decoction is added to the henna solution, a light chestnut color is obtained (2 teaspoons of tea leaves per 200 g of water), when dry rhubarb leaves (3 g) are added - dark chestnut. To achieve a cherry hue, henna is not diluted with hot water, but with Cahors, heated to 70 ° C. In order to repaint in the color of mahogany, pour a little cranberry juice into the henna, they are also recommended to lubricate dry hair before the procedure and dry it a little.

Do not use pure basma

as hair after it can turn green-blue or green. It needs to be blended with henna to create a variety of brown shades. You will need from 25 to 100 g of powder of both dyes (the amount depends on the length of the hair). With an equal ratio, we get a rich chestnut color, with a ratio of henna and basma 1: 2 - black, 2: 1 - a luxurious bronze shade. Rub them with a wooden spoon in a glass container with hot infusion of coffee, hot water or red wine. Add glycerin, flaxseed decoction or shampoo to the resulting gruel for a more even paint application.

So that after the procedure a bright yellow strip does not remain on the forehead along the hairline, the skin is lubricated with petroleum jelly. Apply the ready-made composition to pre-washed, damp strands. Start with parting, and paint the ends of the hair with 1/3 part of the already diluted gruel remnants with hot water. Cover your head with cellophane and warm with a terry towel. The exposure time of the paint is 10-40 minutes (light tone) and from 60 to 90 minutes (dark shades).

Chamomile hair coloring - for a golden hue

To lighten dark hair, add chamomile infusion to the hot henna mixture (1 tablespoon per 100 g boiling water). To paint over gray hair, there is another recipe: brew 200 g of flowers with half a liter of boiling water and leave for two hours. Then stir with 3 tbsp. glycerin. Distribute the composition on your head, cover with a plastic cap, insulate and hold for an hour. Thus, gray hair can be dyed golden.

Recipe with vodka and peroxide:

pour one and a half cups of flowers with 800 ml of vodka. Insist for 14 days, then add hydrogen peroxide (50 g) to the infusion. Apply to clean and dry hair, hold for thirty minutes, rinse with water and shampoo.

If you decide to lighten dark strands a little, then rinse them after regular washing: this way they will become not only golden, but also thick, shiny and silky. You can also prepare the following mixture: brew 1 cup of chamomile with 300 ml of boiling water, leave for an hour, strain and pour 50 g of peroxide into it. The composition is distributed on dry hair, kept for half an hour and rinsed thoroughly.
