If you want to diversify your daily menu, I suggest preparing a vitamin salad with wild garlic, shrimps and crab sticks. The delicate garlic taste of wild garlic is in perfect harmony with seafood. This is a very simple and light dish that can be cooked in just a couple of minutes with a minimum of effort. Therefore, the recipe will certainly delight the novice hostess and become a real find for her. At the same time, the result of the treat is incredibly tasty and delicious. Relatives and friends will be delighted with the original and spicy taste of this salad.

However, this salad has a seasonality, because wild garlic can be bought or harvested in the forest only in spring. But if you wish, you can freeze it in the freezer and enjoy its taste all year round. Ramson is the very first healthy juicy and aromatic herb that pleases us after a long, long and cold winter. It contains many vitamins, amino acids, essential oils, trace elements and other biologically active substances. I also liked that wild garlic gives the salad a mild delicate taste and aroma of young garlic. Therefore, it is better to use it in the evening or on a day when you do not have to go to work.

Ingredients:

  • Boiled-frozen shrimps - 150 g
  • Mayonnaise - 2-3 tablespoons for refueling
  • Eggs - 2 pcs.

1. Rinse the wild garlic leaves thoroughly to remove dust and dirt as much as possible. To do this, it is better to soak them for a few minutes in a deep bowl with cold water. Then dry well with a paper towel and remove the rough and tough parts of the petioles. Chop the weed coarsely and place in a deep bowl.

To get rid of the bright garlic aroma and taste a little, you can first pour boiling water over the grass and then pickle it in vinegar. I read this advice on the Internet, but I did not apply it myself, so I cannot say about the guaranteed result.

2. Wash raw eggs and put them in a saucepan with cold water so that they touch each other and there is not a great distance between them. Otherwise, the eggs may crack during boiling. After boiling, cook them for 8-10 minutes. Transfer the boiled hard-boiled eggs to a container with cold water and cool well. Then peel them and cut them into small cubes. Send them to a bowl of wild garlic.

3. Defrost the crab sticks first. Do this at room temperature without using a microwave oven. Best of all, defrost them in the refrigerator to preserve their texture and flavor well. Then cut the sticks into medium-sized cubes and send to the bowl with the food.

For the salad, use only good quality crab sticks so as not to spoil the taste of the dish. When buying them, look at the manufacturer's packaging - "surimi" should be the first in the list of used components. If "surimi" is the second on the list, then the quality of the product is worse.

4. My shrimps are cooked and frozen in a shell. You can not cook them, but only defrost them in the refrigerator or by placing them in a colander and rinsing with running water, if there is no time. Overcooked meat will become tough. Then peel them from the shell and cut into medium pieces. Small shrimps can be left intact. But if you want to make the salad tastier, you can fry the peeled shrimps in warmed olive oil, then put on a paper towel and let cool. Or pour the frozen shrimp with boiling water with lemon juice (half a lemon in 1 liter of water), then peel them. You can also use canned shrimp, peeled, frozen tiger prawns, etc. for salad.

5. Salt food and season with mayonnaise. You can also season the salad with sour cream to reduce the calorie content of the dish. If the shrimp were fried in a pan, then season the salad with this oil in which they were fried - this will give the dish a special flavor. A dressing made from olive oil or vegetable oil with the addition of white wine vinegar, lemon juice, mustard or soy sauce is also suitable (products must be whipped until smooth).

6. Stir all prepared ingredients. Taste the salad to taste and add salt if necessary and season with freshly ground black pepper to taste. Put it on a serving platter and decorate as you like: shrimp, chopped cucumbers, sprinkle with sesame seeds, etc.

The number of products for salad with wild garlic, shrimps and crab sticks can vary. If you want seafood to dominate in the recipe, and the wild garlic gives only a delicate aroma and taste, then take 2-3 times more shrimp and crab sticks. On the contrary, my main ingredient is wild garlic, and the rest of the ingredients are additives.
