Ingredients:

  • Orange peel - 1 pc.
  • Water - 1 l
  • Sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • Citric acid - 1/3 tsp

Preparing an orange peel drink:

To prepare a drink, you need a few oranges, or rather, fresh peels from them. Dried ones are not useful, they no longer have juice. By the number of oranges from which the skins have been peeled, choose a jar for the "sourdough". One medium orange - 1 liter jar, 2 oranges - 2 liter jar, etc.

Twist the orange peels in a meat grinder, place the resulting minced meat in a prepared jar. Fill to the top with spring or boiled water at room temperature. Covering the neck of the jar with gauze, leave it indoors for a day.

Now we filter the drink through cheesecloth. Add sugar to the liquid, as well as citric acid per liter of the resulting liquid, 2 tbsp. sugar and 1/3 tsp. acid, respectively. Although, it is preferable to focus on personal taste. Lemon peels can be added to the company. Then citric acid in the finished drink is not needed.

Essentially, this orange drink is a primitive aqueous orange extract. Easy to use and prepare, absolutely inexpensive.
