Despite the fact that the meatballs contain rice, they can still be served with any side dish. Boiled potatoes, spaghetti or porridge will go well with this dish.

You can cook meatballs in two ways - bake in the oven or simmer in a pan. Today I invite you to get acquainted with the latter method. In addition, if you are limited in time for cooking, use my offer. Prepare minced meat, divide it into portions and freeze in the freezer. And then defrost it at any time and cook meatballs in 30 minutes.

How to freeze minced meat on meatballs?

So, remove all the film, fat from the meat and twist it in a meat grinder through a large wire rack - this way the taste will be better felt. I want to draw your attention to the fact that if the film is not removed, it will wrap around the meat grinder knife, and the minced meat will not be twisted, but squeezed out. Peel the onion and also pass it through a meat grinder, but already through a fine wire rack. Wash the rice under running water and boil it until half cooked. Combine all products together, mix and divide the whole mass in portions, which put in food plastic bags. Squeeze out the air from each bag as much as possible, close it and shape it in a thin flat shape for easy storage. Then fold them in stacks and send them to the freezer.

Do not add salt, pepper and other favorite spices to the minced meat for freezing. It is best to do this just before cooking. Then the dish itself will turn out to be much juicier and tastier.

When you decide to make meatballs, remove one package of minced meat from the freezer and leave it to defrost completely at room temperature without using a microwave oven. Then add all the necessary spices and spices to the minced meat and prepare the dish according to the recipe, which is written below.

Ingredients:

  • Minced meat for meatballs - 1 kg (it consists of 700 g of meat, one onion and 50 g of raw rice)
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Eggs - 1 pc.
  • Sour cream - 3 tsp
  • Tomato paste - 3 tsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
  • Allspice peas - 3 peas
  • Ground black pepper - 0.5 tsp or to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Refined vegetable oil or other oil - for frying

Cooking meatballs with rice

If you are preparing meatballs initially, then prepare the minced meat using the technology that I described above. If you have followed my advice and have already frozen the minced meat, then defrost it naturally. Well, if you already have minced meat, then continue to cook meatballs according to my recipe.

1. So, add an egg to the prepared minced meat so that the meatballs do not fall apart during frying in a pan, salt, pepper and mix well.

2. Form the meatballs into a round shape.

3. Pour oil (vegetable refined or any other) into a frying pan, heat and put garlic, cut into pieces, it will give the oil a spicy aroma and taste.

5. Then in any container put sour cream, tomato paste, mustard, add ground pepper, salt, pour drinking water and mix everything. Pour meatballs with this dressing, add allspice peas and bay leaf to them.

Bring the broth to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pan and simmer the meatballs for 20 minutes.
