In summer, a rare hostess does not prepare for the winter. Last year I tried to close the green beans for the winter and was not mistaken! A very tasty preparation, which we used in winter for cooking soups, salads, and stews. This summer, I decided to definitely repeat and share this recipe with you. I'm sure someone else will love the delicate taste of young pickled bean pods. For harvesting, you can take beans in pods of any color - green asparagus, bright yellow or pale green. The main thing is that it is fresh, and the beans in the pods are not yet fully formed. You do not need a long sterilization, just pour the marinade over the pods once, wrap them up and wait until they cool completely. Let's not get distracted, let's get down to business.

Ingredients:

  • Beans in pods - 500 g
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Salt - 0.5 tbsp. l.
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp. l.
  • Vinegar 9% - 60 ml
  • Garlic - 1 head
  • Black peppercorns - 0.5 tsp
  • Bay leaf - 3 pcs.

First you need to prepare the beans: wash the pods, sort out, remove anything that does not inspire confidence, cut into several pieces if they turn out to be too long. Cut off the ends from each pod. It is better to remove the fibers on the side joints, too, the beans are ready.

For a given amount of green beans, you will need 2 half-liter jars. Sterilize them in the way you prefer, and place a couple of garlic cloves on the bottom of each.

Cooking brine: combine water, salt, sugar, spices. When the water boils, pour in the vinegar.
