There are many secrets and recipes that make potatoes delicious. It is not in vain that the potato was nicknamed the second bread, tk. it is the most important food product. Today I propose to make boiled potatoes in meat broth. The dish will come out not just appetizing, but simply melting in your mouth. Delicate, crumbly, fragrant! At the same time, it is elementary to prepare. Try to make such an unusually tender and aromatic potato! All eaters will definitely be satisfied. But, despite the fact that this is a very simple dish, it has its own secrets and subtleties.

  • To ensure the potatoes are evenly and simultaneously boiled, select tubers of the same size.
  • Potatoes will cook faster if you add a little margarine or butter to the water.
  • To make the potatoes especially tasty, place a clove of garlic, bay leaf, or a sprig of dill in a saucepan.
  • Pour the broth (or water) to the top level of the potatoes and make sure that the liquid does not boil away.
  • Some varieties of potatoes are very soft, even if cooked over low heat. This will not happen if you put a few slices of pickled cucumber in the pot next to the potatoes. Then the potato slices will remain intact and will not lose nutrients.

If you want the potatoes to be crumbly, pour hot broth over them and simmer under the lid. Although it is better to always fill it with hot liquid, or even better with boiling water. If you use cold water, about 25% of vitamin C is lost, and if you pour boiling water, only 6% is lost.
