Oriental coffee is one of the oldest recipes for a delicious drink available for home preparation. Today it is one of the most common and affordable drinks. In different sources, it has a different name: Turkish coffee, Arabic, oriental. Moreover, the peculiarity of its preparation is the same. It is cooked in a Turk, over an open fire or on hot sand.

Thanks to the preparation of coffee in an open container, it can be created with any number of additives. Often favorite spices and spices are added to it to taste, which makes it more aromatic and tasty. Spice mixtures for making oriental coffee can be very different. These include cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, anise, nutmeg, allspice, etc. Also, depending on the amount of added sugar, this type of coffee can be bitter, sweet and very sweet. The amount of water and the quality of the coffee grind allow for variations, i.e. the drink may be thicker or less frequent.

Ingredients:

  • Natural ground coffee - 1 tsp.
  • Anise - 1 pc.
  • Carnation - 2-3 buds
  • Nutmeg - 0.25 tsp
  • Ground cinnamon - 0.25 tsp
  • Allspice peas - 4 pcs.
  • Ground ginger - 0.25 tsp

1. Pour ground coffee into a Turk. Ground coffee quickly loses its smell, taste and essential oils, so grind it just before brewing.

2. Add spices to the Turk: anise, allspice and cloves.

3. Then add ground cinnamon.

4. Then add ground ginger powder. If you have a fresh root, use it. Literally 0.3 mm will be enough.

5. Then add ground nutmeg. You can use whole nutmeg instead.

6. Pour hot drinking water into the Turk. Although you can pour a cold one, nothing bad will happen. Adjust the amount of water at your discretion. Add sugar to the turk if desired.

7. Place the turkey on the stove with medium heat and bring to a boil.

8. After boiling, remove the turk from the heat so that the foam settles. Leave it on for 1 minute and repeat the boil again so that the foam rises. Do this several times.
