Therefore, we will support the long-term tradition and prepare a salad in the shape of a Dog for the New Year 2018. It is this animal that is the symbol of the coming year. The presented recipe will facilitate work and make cooking quite simple and affordable.
The salad recipe itself can be varied, the main thing is that it should be designed just like a dog. Anyone can use the image of a dog: lapdogs, mongrels, watchmen, pedigree … All of them will find their place in the New Year's menu. In this review, I propose to prepare an original dish from available products: mushrooms, eggs and cheese. And in combination with culinary imagination, these ingredients will make the New Year's table festive and unforgettable. Ingredients:
- Pickled mushrooms - 250 g
- Mayonnaise - for dressing
- Eggs - 4 pcs.
- Salt - a pinch
- Hard cheese - 150 g
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Carrots - 2 pcs.
Step-by-step preparation of a salad with mushrooms and eggs for the New 2018 in the form of a Dog, a recipe with a photo:
1. Place the mushrooms in a sieve and rinse under running cold water. Leave the excess liquid to the glass and cut into small pieces.
2. Peel the onions, wash and chop into thin half rings. Pre-boil the carrots until tender and refrigerate. Peel and cut into cubes. Send the groceries to the mushroom bowl.
3. Pre-boil the eggs hard-boiled. Cook them no longer than 8-10 minutes after boiling. Otherwise, the yolk will acquire a blue tint, and it is exactly yellow that is needed in the recipe, because participates in the decoration of the image of the Dog. Peel the eggs. 2 pcs. cut into cubes, and 2 pcs. leave to decorate the salad.
4. Cut the cheese into cubes and send to a bowl with all ingredients. Season the salad with salt and top with mayonnaise.
5. Stir the salad well. Make sure that there is not a lot of mayonnaise, otherwise the salad will creep on the plate and will not hold its shape.
6. Place the salad in the shape of a dog's "muzzle" on a dish, as shown in the photo.
7. Divide the remaining 2 eggs into white and yolk, grate each separately on a medium grater. Decorate the "face" of the dog with yolk, and the ears and nose with white. Make the eyes, eyebrows and tongue from improvised contrasting products: blue grapes, black olives, dark sausage, etc.
