  • Cottage cheese - 200 g
  • Wheat flour - 1 tbsp.
  • Baking powder - 0.5 tsp
  • Eggs - 1 pc.
  • Sugar - 4 tbsp. l.
  • Vanilla sugar - 0.5 tsp
  • Sunflower oil for deep fat - 1, 5-2 tbsp.
  • Powdered sugar for decoration - 1 tbsp. l.

To make curd dough for donuts, combine cottage cheese, sugar, vanilla sugar (if you have vanillin, there will be quite a bit of it on the tip of a knife), beat in an egg and turn all the ingredients into curd mass using an immersion blender. This is necessary so that the donut dough is smooth and very tender. Of course, you can use a fork and grind all the food, but this will take a little more time.

Sifted wheat flour, combined with a baking powder, add portions to the curd mass, kneading the tender dough. With this dessert, it is better to undershoot a little flour, which can be corrected later, than to add too much and get tough donuts.

Knead the dough with your hands. It should turn out to be elastic and soft, perhaps a little sticky to your hands.

Pinch off small pieces of dough and form walnut-sized balls between your palms. Place a saucer next to you, into which pour a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil: with palms slightly oiled, it is easier to take the dough and roll the balls. Grind the cutting board with flour or cover with cling film, put the balls on top. As soon as all the dough is over, you can start frying.

Heat the oil well in a small, deep bowl or saucepan and deep-fry the donuts over medium heat, allowing them to cook on the inside, turning occasionally to brown on all sides. Make sure that the donuts are not too overcooked - after all, then instead of ruddy koloboks, you can get black coals.
