Which fence is better: forged, cast or wooden. A brief description of each of them. The underworld in its technical equipment was able to step so far that only the most naive person can count on the fact that the fortress walls will be able to protect his acquired property. Modern fences are not even the same as they were twenty years ago. Today, the fence of a private house is becoming more and more a decoration of the site, and not a fortification.

Why have twisted monograms, soaring peaks and a metal vine gained such great popularity? The answer is simple: it is beautiful and graceful.

Reputable blacksmithing firms are able to recreate any historical lattice at the request of the client. Also in their portfolio you will find a huge number of modern patterns. However, it is still nice to have at your disposal an exclusive forged fence, unlike any other fences.

Before placing an order, as a rule, an architect comes to the site, who takes pictures from different sides of the building, after which he "conjures" over the sketches. Draw the approved version on a 1: 1 scale. Molds are made from a steel strip on its basis, already on them the craftsmen pull, flatten and bend fragment by fragment.

A draft proposal is often made free of charge, let's say in advance. In addition, the drawing can even be handed over for discussion in a close family circle. However, the client, most likely, will not even see the full-size drawing, since we are already talking about the author's intellectual property. But you will receive a drawing of the future fence on an A4 sheet.

The intricate openwork is very reliable and durable, because the main raw material is a square metal rod, which, under the influence of a hammer and fire, takes on the most bizarre shapes.

The grille elements are assembled together using clamps and welding. There is no need to be afraid for the reliability of professionally made connections. Note that it is easy to recognize hackwork precisely by poor-quality assembly: geometry is violated, and sloppy seams are very conspicuous.

The seam, ideally, should be initially even, and at the finish it should be practically invisible at all. It is sanded, putty and only then the product is painted. Modern coatings require renewal approximately every 4 years. A modern fence, with proper care, will be able to outlive the owner's great-grandchildren. Sometimes the artistic design requires more subtle work. Before painting, with the help of special tools, the master endows the rod with a special texture ("bamboo", "vine", "tree bark"), engraves the decor (flowers-leaves). By the way, do not be dismissive of beauties: they are functional. The denser the drawing, the more inaccessible the fence will be, and, of course, the more expensive.

The optimal height of the forged outer fence is considered to be 1, 5-2, 5 meters, but it is technologically quite possible to make a 5-meter fence. Fence sections are mounted on brick, stone or metal posts. In any case, a solid foundation is required, which is calculated for strength. If you have a craving for beauty, but you are not mentally ready to "open" and only a stone wall can give you a sense of peace, well, stop your choice, at least on a lace gate, which will not be a weak link.

Cast iron is striking in its monumentality. Everyone is envious at once - this is for centuries, and the fence, and the welfare, and the social status of the owner of the fenced area.

Combined options are very beautiful. So, imagine, say, dull concrete in pastel colors, plastered under a "fur coat" and which is decorated with contrasting black curly inserts. It is assumed that the main building must certainly be massive and located at a respectful distance from the fence. This does not mean that the owner of 15 acres or a fan of wooden housing should completely abandon casting. A low, up to 0.5 m, hedge of a simplified design and expressive small cast-iron sculptures perfectly combine and harmonize with the log buildings made in the northern style.

Wooden fence

They say that the most prestigious fence abroad is considered to be a wooden fence. In our country, fashion is just beginning to look towards wooden fences, but stereotypes remain very strong. Someone considers the wooden style of the fence to be primitive, someone prefers more fundamental buildings. In many popular publications, for example, you can read that the lifespan of a wooden fence, they say, is no more than ten years. Either this is a delusion, or simply advertising fences made of other materials. A well-designed, neatly made on the basis of high-quality material with the use of modern protective equipment, with proper care, the fence can stand for more than four decades.

In particular, once every 1-3 years, the fence must be painted, and the grass next to the fence, which creates high humidity, must be removed.
