Find out why fat people, even after a long diet, over time not only regain their original excess weight, but also gain even more fat. Today we will talk about a topic that interests many - why a fat one cannot lose weight. Not only is it difficult for a fat person to lose weight, but more often than not he cannot keep the results obtained. However, first I would like to dwell on the reasons for gaining excess weight. Most often this is due to improper diet and a passive lifestyle. However, there are other reasons, which we will also remember today.

Nutrition

Most scientists are convinced that the main reason for gaining excess weight is a poor nutritional program. It is with this reason that we will begin. If you regularly consume large quantities of unhealthy foods, and physical activity is low, then you will definitely gain weight.

However, even with proper nutrition, it is quite possible to gain fat mass. This is due to the calorie content of the human diet. Of course, the quality of products is of great importance, but you also need to pay attention to their calorie content. In fact, only by changing the energy value of the diet can you lose weight or gain weight.

By manipulating the calorie intake of a nutrition program, you can achieve the following results:

  1. Weight loss - if you consume fewer calories throughout the day than you expend.
  2. Weight gain - when the caloric content of the diet is higher than the daily energy expenditure.
  3. Weight is maintained - if a person receives and spends the same amount of energy.

You must remember these rules and with their help you can achieve the desired result. However, let's take a closer look at nutrition. Our ancestors had to expend a lot of energy, and in order to survive, they were forced to lead an active lifestyle. Then it was extremely difficult to gain excess weight, because there was little food, and it was mainly protein. Add to this high physical activity, and everything will fall into place.

Modern life does not involve high energy consumption. Of course, there are professions when people must be highly physically active. However, many of us work in offices and go home to watch TV right after work. Today you don't even have to go to the store for groceries, but simply order their delivery on the Internet. All this leads to minimal energy consumption.

The quality of modern food is a separate issue. Many manufacturers are looking to save money. As a result, we find delicious, but unhealthy food on the shelves of supermarkets. Since we all love to eat deliciously, we gladly acquire this food. As a result, producers receive high profits with minimal production costs.

Those who are actively involved in fitness do not allow themselves this. To achieve positive results in the same bodybuilding, you need to consume only healthy foods on schedule and in certain quantities. Depending on the goals set by the builders, they can also eat a lot, but because of the high energy costs, they do not get fat, but gain muscle mass.

Ordinary people do exactly the opposite and eat the foods they like. It is not by chance that we remembered about bodybuilders, because their diet can be called the most correct. In order not to gain excess weight, but to get rid of it, it is necessary to completely abandon some foods, even if you are crazy about them. Today many people consume fast food, sausages, chips, ketchup, etc.

However, all of these foods have no nutritional value and can even harm the body. Take a look at the label of, say, your favorite sausage. It contains tons of additives, many of which may not be all that harmless. Here are some of the foods you need to include in your diet:

  • Carbohydrates - buckwheat, oatmeal, rice and potatoes, but not often. You should remember one rule - the more plant fiber in a carbohydrate product, the more useful it is.
  • Protein compounds - eggs (boiled), chicken breast, lean red meats, fish, low-fat dairy products.
  • Vegetable fibers - fruits and vegetables.

In addition to all of the above, you should drink about two liters of water throughout the day. To lose weight, you need to create a calorie deficit and to do this, manipulate carbohydrates. To achieve this, it is necessary to calculate the calorie content of the diet and experimentally select the indicator of the energy value of the diet that will allow you to lose weight.

It is also necessary to say a few words about the meal schedule. Many people today use a split meal system that involves eating at least five small meals a day. However, the intermittent fasting system is now becoming more and more popular. Its essence lies in a 16-hour fast, and over the next eight hours you need to eat three times.

Physical exercise

Modern people move very little, and only a small part go in for sports in their free time. In such a situation, an excess of calories is created and an increase in adipose tissues cannot be avoided. Perhaps this is only when you change your lifestyle. First, stop using the elevator and walk to work. If it is far from home, then go through at least a few stops. In addition, it is worth starting to play sports. Not necessarily bodybuilding, you can visit the pool a couple of times a week.

Chronic sleep deprivation

When a person does not get enough sleep, the body is in a state of stress. This contributes to the activation of the processes of fat deposition. The first symptoms of a lack of sleep are lethargy, irritability, lack of energy, and dark circles under the eyes. In order for the body to recover after a working day, sleep at least eight hours.

Stress

As we just said, during stress, the body begins to store fat. However, that's not all, and many of you are familiar with the expression “stress seizing”. Serotonin helps to improve mood and, among other things, is synthesized during the consumption of delicious food. Some can eat in stressful situations, although the body does not need energy at all.

During times of stress, a person does not think about what might happen in the long run. By eating tasty and usually high-calorie foods, he gets a serving of serotonin. Once you have a problem, do not try to jam it, but look for solutions. Sports activities or hobbies can also help.

Why a fat man can't lose weight - the main reasons

Many overweight people make a lot of effort to lose weight. They exhaust themselves with various diets, can exercise actively, but the weight does not go away. With thin people, the opposite is true and they can eat high-calorie foods, eat late at night, but they do not get fat. The question is quite natural in this situation - why can't a fat one lose weight?

Many people believe that it's all about metabolism. Scientists are confident that hypothyroidism, or, more simply, abnormalities in the functioning of the thyroid gland, can lead to a set of fat mass. This organ synthesizes two hormones that increase the sensitivity of tissues to adrenaline. This hormone maintains muscle tone, stimulates the processes of heat release and directly affects the processes of lipolysis.

It is quite obvious that at a low concentration of thyroid hormones, the efficiency of adrenaline decreases. First of all, this concerns the low rate of lipolysis and the simultaneous rapid increase in the amount of adipose tissues. Hypothyroidism can be treated, but it is a rare condition. Among obese people, only about one percent suffer from it. Then why can't the fat one lose weight, because 99 percent of it remains?

This suggests that metabolism is not important in this case. At the very least, scientists cannot provide reliable evidence of this, despite all their efforts. Work in this direction continues, and perhaps soon we will receive an exact answer.

However, many scientists have become skeptical about the very theory of the effect of metabolic disorders on fat gain. They are sure that the reason lies in rather banal things - psycho-emotional state, nutrition, physical activity, etc. This is exactly what we talked about in the first part of the article, when we considered the reasons for the appearance of excess weight.

Losing weight is not primarily a diet

Very often, when talking about losing weight, you can hear about the need for an iron will. However, this is not primarily the point, but the resulting vector. Our life is made up of nutrition and physical activity. All this is complemented by our psychological and emotional state.

We have already noted sleep as one of the factors in weight gain. Scientists fully agree that a person who regularly gets enough sleep does not need various sweets and treats so much, because he has a good mood. When you do an intense workout, your appetite increases. But after walking opposite, it falls. That is why people who like to walk are never overweight. As we said above, the lifestyle of most people contributes to the gain of fat mass.

To lose weight, people use various means and techniques. It has not yet been proven that metabolism is the main culprit here. If this theory finds confirmation in the course of scientific experiments, then they will definitely come up with a medicine. Already today you can find supplements that speed up metabolic processes. Quite often, people conduct body cleansing courses, but this does not lead to success.

All the above described actions have no scientific basis. Do not be surprised that they rarely help anyone lose weight. Once again, I want to go back to the beginning of the article and recall the ways to gain weight or lose weight using the calorie intake.

However, do not think that we are talking about a diet right now. Such nutrition programs involve the rejection of certain foods and sometimes these restrictions are quite serious. First, try to simply eat less fatty foods and cut out sugar. At the same time, start walking more.

You don't need to rush into the gym or start running right away. If you have serious enough problems with being overweight, then walking is the best form of physical activity. Walking outdoors can also reduce stress, which is another factor in fat storage. If your lifestyle is comfortable for you, but you want to lose weight, then you should not change everything dramatically. Start small and watch the results.
