The article contains recipes for preparing the best gelatinous hair masks using various ingredients, as well as tips on which herbs in gelatin masks can be suitable for your type of spinning.

General recommendations

All masks are applied to wet hair

and must be aged for at least 40 minutes. They should be infused for 15-20 minutes, then cooked in a water bath. Important: during a water bath, gelatin should not boil.

After applying the mask, put on a plastic cap and warm your head with a towel, then use a hair dryer to warm it up. Rinse off the masks with warm water using shampoo. Then dry your head with a towel (do not use a hair dryer!).

1. Mask with mineral water

  1. Stir a tablespoon of gelatin and still mineral water in a 1: 3 ratio.
  2. Stir the mixture thoroughly.
  3. Melt in a water bath.
  4. Add drops of vitamin A, lemon juice and lavender oil to the mixture.
  5. Apply the cooled mask to the head.

2. Moisturizing

  1. Take chamomile flowers (for light hair) or nettle (for dark hair).
  2. Boil the herb and mix the cooled broth with a tablespoon of gelatin.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and mix thoroughly.
  4. Apply the mixture over the entire length of the hair, rubbing into the scalp.

3. Gelatin mask with almond oil

  1. Dilute a tablespoon of gelatin with three tablespoons of hot water.
  2. Add almond oil: for dry curls - 0.5 teaspoons, for oily curls - 0.5, for normal curls - 1 teaspoon of oil.
  3. Melt in a water bath.
  4. Apply to hair.

Castor or burdock oil can be used instead of almond oil.

4. With fruit juice

  1. Dilute with 1 tbsp. l. gelatin with 3 liters. juice. You can choose apple juice - it is suitable for all types of hair, or lemon juice - if you have blonde, or carrot juice - for those with dark hair.
  2. Stir well and place the mixture in a water bath.
  3. After cooling, apply to the head.

5. Gelatin mask with mustard powder and henna

  1. Dilute art. l. gelatin with hot water (1: 3).
  2. Add 1 yolk to the gelatin mixture, tsp. mustard powder and tsp. colorless henna.
  3. Mix everything and apply to damp hair.
  4. Rinse off with plenty of water, shampoo and balm.

6. Recipe with milk

  1. Add 1 tbsp. l. gelatin in 100 g of milk.
  2. After it swells (after 30-40 minutes), add st. l. honey.
  3. Stir the mixture thoroughly.
  4. Apply to the head, put on a hat and warm with a towel.
  5. After 30-40 minutes, wash off with shampoo, apply balm.

7. Gelatin mask for hair growth with sea salt

  1. You will need: gelatin, water (1 glass), sea salt (1 tbsp. L.), Olive, burdock, castor or sea buckthorn oil (1 tsp.), Sage or lavender essential oil (5-6 drops).
  2. Dissolve sea salt in warm water.
  3. Add gelatin to it and leave for 30 minutes to swell.
  4. Then add any of the listed oils and mix thoroughly.
  5. Apply the mask along the entire length, put on a bag and warm with a towel.
  6. After 30-40 minutes, wash off with warm water and shampoo. You can use baby shampoo as it contains less aggressive substances.

Effective herbs for decoctions in the preparation of gelatin masks

  • If you have dandruff, then decoctions of tansy, calamus root, birch leaves are suitable.
  • If your hair often falls out, then use decoctions of nettle, hops, burdock root.
  • If you have oily strands, then decoctions of calendula, sage and St. John's wort will help.

Effective oils for gelatin masks

  • If you want your hair to grow faster, then use pumpkin seed oil, castor oil, and wheat germ oil.
  • Pine nut oil, poppy seed oil and castor oil can help with dandruff. Essential oils: tea tree, eucalyptus, yarrow, lemon, rosemary.
  • If your strands fall out, then hazelnut, burdock and pine nut oil must be used.
  • For brittle and weak hair, use hemp, almond, soy, coconut, or wheatgrass oil. Essential oils: chamomile, lavender, orange or rosemary.
  • For oily hair, use sesame oil, jojoba, avocado. Essential: sage, ginger, cedar, eucalyptus, grapefruit, cypress or pine oil.
  • And for all types of hair, you can always use corn, burdock, flaxseed, olive, peach, grape seed oil or watermelon seed oil.
