If a joyful event is coming to your family - the addition of a family is expected soon, then it will be useful for you to learn how to sew a kit in a crib for a newborn, an envelope for discharge, a vest, sliders, knit a cap for a baby. So, when the scheme is redrawn, we proceed to cutting. Attach the details of the pattern to the main canvas, cut out with seam allowances. Cut the padding polyester and backings in the same way. Fold all 3 canvases in this way: first a synthetic winterizer, lining on the wrong side of it, cover everything with the main fabric, which you place the wrong side up.
Bring these fabrics together by sidestitching. Until only the headrest is sewn up. Through it, turn the envelope for the newborn onto the front side so that the stitching and synthetic winterizer are inside. Then stitch off the headrest. You can make a drawstring here to thread an elastic band or sew on lace, braid.
It remains to sew the strings, and the baby discharge kit is ready. Please note that the baby is brought to the hospital with two undershirts - made of thin fabric and flannel.
To make the kit complete, it remains to sew the diapers and knit the baby's cap. The first ones are quite simple to create. For this, rectangles measuring 90 x 120 cm are cut out of thin cotton and flannel fabric, plus seam allowances. The edges are tucked in, stitched, after which a light and warm diaper is ready.
DIY baby cap
Such a beautiful and warm knit. To create this one you only need:
- threads;
- knitting needles;
- necessary calculations.
In order for the headdress to be the size of the baby, it is better to first knit the sample, and then dial the required number of loops. This headpiece is the second size and we start with a set of 65 loops. We will knit with an English elastic band. You can choose a different pattern.
After 30 rows have been knitted, proceed to the back of the head. To do this, knit the central tongue, and temporarily move the side loops to other knitting needles or to pins. But at the end of each row, connect the last loop of the "tongue" and the adjacent one, which is on the pin.
Then you can crochet the cap. It is necessary to tie the strings, after which the hat for the baby is ready.
