Pork recipes are known in all cuisines of the world. Many chefs and ordinary housewives do not get tired of experimenting and increasing the number of new ways to prepare it. Pork is one of the most successful types of meat, because it harmoniously reveals its taste in combination with many other products. In addition, you can cook it in a variety of ways: stew, steam, fry, shade with wine and other drinks. And you can serve it with an incredibly large assortment of sauces.

One of my favorite pork recipes is roasting a good piece of meat, whole. Such a dish is obtained with an amazing taste, delicate aroma and will easily become a real decoration of any table.

Secrets of Cooking with Honey

Honey is one of the healthiest foods on our table (read our article on the health benefits of honey). It contains a huge amount of fructose and glucose, which are so necessary for the nutrition of the brain. At the same time, there is very little not too useful sucrose in honey. Ripe honey contains many simple sugars and monosaccharides, from which this product is absorbed very quickly and without energy costs. In addition, honey contains proteins, various acids, calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, sulfur, chlorine and phosphorus salts. It contains all the trace elements, and even more vitamin C and group B.

  • If you marinate the meat in honey or simply smear it with spices, then the dish will be covered with a golden crust during frying and will acquire a delicious aroma.
  • Honey goes well with lime, coriander, garlic, ginger, cardamom, orange and lemon zest. All these spices can be added to the marinade, it will be very tasty.
  • Since honey does not like high temperatures, the meat is baked in the oven at no more than 180 degrees. Although this will not help, since when honey is heated above 60 degrees, it loses almost all its beneficial properties. Therefore, there will be little benefit from it, but it will make the taste of meat special!
  • Dishes covered with honey glaze turn dark brown. So be prepared for darker colored meats.

3. Wash the meat and pat dry with a paper towel. Then coat it well on all sides with the prepared marinade and leave it to marinate for 5 hours, or better overnight. To make the meat better marinated, make deep punctures or marinade injections on it with a sharp knife, then the marinade will penetrate much deeper.

4. When the meat is marinated, remove from the marinade and wrap with cling foil or a baking sleeve. This will allow the meat to cook evenly without drying out on top.

5. Heat the oven to 180 degrees (no more). Put the meat on a baking sheet and send to bake for 1, 5-2 hours. The baking time depends on the size of the piece of meat. About 20 minutes before the end of cooking, unfold the pork baked in honey marinade so that it is browned without foil, and bake it for another 10 minutes. Then cut into portions and serve.
