Ingredients:

  • Milk - 1.5 cups (375 ml)
  • Olive oil - 1/2 cup (120 ml)
  • Butter - 120 grams (slightly more than 1/2 200 gram pack)
  • Cocoa - 120 grams (5 tbsp. L. Without a slide)
  • Vinegar 6% - 2 tbsp l.
  • Soda - 2 tsp
  • Sugar - 3 cups (500 grams)
  • Flour - 3 cups (480 grams)
  • Eggs - 4 pcs.

1. First of all, choose a large bowl, as there will be a lot of dough. We are making a big pie. Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl - sugar, flour, cocoa and soda.

2. Take a fork or whisk and stir dry ingredients to combine cocoa with flour. Then it will be easier to wet with other ingredients. Beat eggs into a bowl. Add olive oil.

3. The butter for the cake should be at room temperature. If you forgot to get it out of the refrigerator, here's one trick - put the butter in a bag and roll it out with a rolling pin. Leave it on for 10 minutes. Now it easily mixes into the dough without lumps. Add milk at room temperature.

4. Mix the dough well and add vinegar at the very end. The dough in that place will immediately turn white. So the reaction of soda and vinegar was successful. Mix the dough again. It turns out not liquid, but not very thick either.

5. Grease the cake mold with butter. Cover the bottom of the mold with parchment to make it easier to get the cake. Pour the dough into a mold no more than half. The cake rises a lot. We send it to the oven for 40 minutes at a temperature of 170-180 degrees. We will check the finished cake with a torch - if it comes out dry, then the cake is ready.

6. Now the most difficult, but at the same time the most important thing - the cake needs to be cooled and wrapped with cling film and let stand overnight. It is thanks to this trick that the cake will turn out to be moist and no additional impregnation is needed.

7. We decorate the cake at your discretion. The easiest option is to make a chocolate ganache, or take a chocolate paste and top the cake. Fresh berries, coconut flakes or marshmallows will become a bright decoration.
